Day 1: Pick up from airport transfer to your beach hotel. Depending on the time of arrival of a mini tour of Dar es Salaam later in the day and overnight at bed and breakfast..
Day 2: After breakfast depart for Saadani National Park. This is a 4 hours drives through parts of Bagamoyo. Arrival will be in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive and overnight at Lodge, full board.
Day 3: Morning boat followed by a visit to a local school get talks on how the park is combating poaching and overnight at lodge, full board.
Day 4: Fill day game drive in Saadani and overnight at Lodge, full board.
Day 5: We head down south and to Mikumi National park. En- route you will make a stop in Morogoro town for lunch. Arrival in Mikumi in time for the late evening game drive. After the game drive overnight at lodge, full board.
Day 6: Morning game drive and Snake Park visit. The snake park is the largest in Tanzania with snakes from across Africa. The afternoon will be at leisure and overnight at Lodge, full board.
Day 7: The highlands of Mufindi are known for its cool weather and lots of agricultural farms. In the next two days accommodation will be on local farm with orchards with plenty of activities within the local area. Overnight at Highland Lodge, full board.
Day 8: Today activities include a tour of the farm, tea plantation and finally relax fishing for your dinner. Overnight at Lodge, full board.
Day 9: Depart in the morning after breakfast for Ruaha National Park. The drive to Ruaha is a truly fascinating one which gives you the real feel of the African countryside. The journey will see you pass sisal plantations, local villages before starting to climb the Great Rift Escarpment passing Iringa Town and finally arriving to your Lodge. Arrival time will be late and overnight at Lodge, full board.
Day 10: Full day game drive in Ruaha. Your guide will guide you through the park in such of the elusive wild dogs and herds of elephants and buffaloes. After picnic lunch, continue with late afternoon/evening game drive before departing for the lodge. This is the time that predators begin for their hunt for their evening meal, dinner and over night at Lodge/Banda, full board
Day 11: Early walking safari followed by an afternoon visit to a local Maasai family and back to the lodge in time for dinner and overnight at full board.
Pls note that children under 12 years are not permitted on walking safari. Whilst the adults are on the walking safari, our guide will take the younger children and other remaining adults for an early morning game drive.
RUAHA NATIONAL PARK, Tanzania's biggest park and host to a number of animals which rare or absent in the North. The rare animals include the African Wild dog, roan and sable antelope and the greater kudu. The Great Ruaha River, which provides life to the park, flows through the eastern side of the park and is home to hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds.
Day 12: Transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in stone town. Afternoon at leisure and overnight at hotel bed and breakfast.
Day 13: After breakfast depart for Stone Town and spice tour. This will be a four hours tour taking you through the rich history and heritage of Zanzibar. Lunch at local restaurant and overnight at Beach Hotel, half board
The richness of its cultural heritage and the lure of the exotic spices make Zanzibar one of the most sort after holiday destinations. The main attraction of Zanzibar is STONE TOWN with its winding alleys; white washed old building, bustling bazaars, mosques, exotic architecture and influences of different cultures
This tour will take you to the House of Wonders (the first house in E. Africa to have an escalator, and electricity), Sultans Palace, Old Dispensary, The former slave market, the local vegetable and fruit market with a variety of mouth-watering tropical seasonal fruits. Exotic spices are cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric and nutmeg - are as exotic as the flavour. You will also have a chance to see the iodine plant, henna bush, ylang-ylang, lipstick tree, cocoa and coffee trees. The Kidichi Persian Baths was built in 1850 by Seyyid Said bin Sultan for his Persian wife Princess Sheherezade granddaughter of the Shah of Persia, you will also visit the Maruhubi Palace Ruins built by the third Sultan of Zanzibar Seyyid Barghash for his 99 concubines.
Day 14-17: Days at leisure and overnights at Beach enjoying the various water sport available from the Hotel, Half board.
Day 18: Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam in time to connect your flight back home.
